5. The Costa Rican civil war happened in 1948. Food:
1)Galletas Marias- This includes coconut and peanut butter.
2)Chilera- A mix of hot chile peppers, onions, carrots, green beans, and cauliflower mixed with vinegar.
3)flan- A carmel custard.
4)Hearts of palm parmesan salad- Hearts of plam, tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and basil.
5)Gallo Pinto- Rice and beans mixed together.
6)Tacos- Taco shells, cube of brown cheese, and cabbage.
7)Fresh Fish- Fresh fish, potatoes, herbs, and carrots.
8)Nachos- beans, Meat, grilled veggies, and other hot toppings.
9)Chile Relleno- Meat, cheese, and rice. Usually lightly battered or fried.
10)Huevos Rancheros- crisy tortillas, fried egg, and tomato-chili sauce.

While doing research for the project if discovered that there is no winter or summer in Costa Rica, and the rainfall there averages around 100 inches. This country is divided by volcanoes and mountains, and is part of the Pacific "Rim of Fire".Costa Rica became a replublic in 1848. Spanish is the most spoken language, and soccer is the most popular sport. The money that they use is called colon.
