Also in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the Liberty Bell. Once housed in Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell now has its own home in a safe building right across the street on the lawn at Independence Mall.

Hushpuppies: Finger shaped dumplings of cornmeal that are deep fried and traditionally served with fried catfish.
Lady Baltimore Cake: Favorite wedding cake in the Southern states, white cake topped with seven minute frosting. It has chopped nuts, and dried or caindied fruits in its frosting.
Minorcan Clam Chowder: Can be creamy, clear, or tomato based clam chowder is the best.
Maple Bacon Biscuts: Outstanding, very unusually biscut. Made with maple surup and bacon.
Huguenot Torte: South Carolina's most favorite dessert. It's not Huguenot or a torte its like a pecan pie with no crust.
Philadelphia Cheese Steak Sandwhich: Sandwich made with chipped steak, which is steak frozen and cut into really small strips and cooked on a grill top
What I Learned: I learned that the United States came up with a lot of foods. I didn't think that we made any thing up. The history stuff we have here is amazing like the Liberty Bell in Phili. Most of the United States food is fattening but, very delicious! Some of the food may look very gross or people may not want to eat it because it looks gross but, it is actually very, very good.
I learned that Barack Obama collects Spider-Man and Conan the Barbarian comics. That in 1970, Americans spent about $6 billion on fast food. In 2006, the spending rose to nearly $142 billion. Hushpuppies are very popular in the deep south. That Lady Baltimore Cake is a popular wedding cake in the southern states.
