Flag: On June 14th, 1777 in order to establish an official flag the Continental Congress passed a flag act. Between 1777 and 1960 congress passed several flag acts changing the shape, design, and arrangement of the flag and allowed for additional stars and stripes to be added to reflect the new states. What I Learned: I learned that the United States came up with a lot of foods. I didn't think that we made any thing up. The history stuff we have here is amazing like the Liberty Bell in Phili. Most of the United States food is fattening but, very delicious! Some of the food may look very gross or people may not want to eat it because it looks gross but, it is actually very, very good.
I learned that Barack Obama collects Spider-Man and Conan the Barbarian comics. That in 1970, Americans spent about $6 billion on fast food. In 2006, the spending rose to nearly $142 billion. Hushpuppies are very popular in the deep south. That Lady Baltimore Cake is a popular wedding cake in the southern states.
