Capital: The capital of France is Paris. A landmark in Paris is Pantheon it is important because it was a church that was built in honor of Sainte Genevieve by Louis XV. Voltaire & Victor Hugo were among the famous french people burried here.

1. French Renaissance was a time of rebirth in literature and art. It took place from the 15th to 17th century.

1. Bouef Bourguignon- A famous beef stew in France.

2. Sole Meuniere- An expensive fish cooked in butter sause with a little bit of flour and lemon juice.

3. Pot au feu- Boiled beef with pork, chicken and vegetables.

4. Veal stew- Veal meat simmers in white sauce with mushrooms and onions. The white sause is made out of egg yolks, whipping cream and lemon juice.

5. Lamb Navarin- A stew made with lamb meat.

6. Cassoulet- White beans with lamb, mutton, pork, or sausage.( Breakfast food)

What I Learned: While i was researching France i've learned many things from culture to there money. For example i've learned their flag represents peace, honesty, royalty, nobility, valor, & strength. I've also found out their president is Jacques Chirac. I found out a national landmark in Paris is the Pantheon. Also i found out there currency is called Euros.
I found out that Frances independence day is July 14th & it is called Bastille Day. Also in 1789 France stormed the Bastille and overthrew there monarchy. I also have learned that Mount Blanc is the highest mountain int Western Europe and it is located in France. I've aslo learned the French Renaissance took place from the late 15th century to the 17th century. Finally i've learned that Bouef Bourguignon is a famous beef stew in France.

I learned that there were a lot of different kinds of food and in Hawaii. The Poi looks pretty weird and the Poke sounds yucky. The Poke reminds me of sushi from Japan. Hawaii are good friends Britain and placed Britain's flag on their flag. The Polynesians were the first people who lived in Hawaii.
Hawaii had a Monarchy government which means they had a King ruling them. It became the 50th state in 1959. I also learned that Taro plants are real plants. There were a lot of Hawaiian foods that starts with the letter "P". Those were the things that I learned while doing this project.
